Strong Winds From Nowhere is a fiction story by Ronit Galapo. It is the story of Tasha, a young girl who is beautiful and wise beyond her years, and her journey to both discover her humanity and embrace the challenge of her destiny.

The story is inspiring and empowering through weaving fantasy, wisdom, and courage. It tells as a parable, in order to show a Truth. I can't help but feel like I am on the edge of understanding as I read the book, but that I just couldn't quite catch the full message. Perhaps this is a story to be read and re-read, with each encounter opening the door a bit broader to understanding.

The story is a quick read which flows very well and captured me; in many areas I found myself wondering more about the characters and events. However, parables seem to be pointed and economical with words, and such is the same for this story.

Hay House gifted me this book of my choice in exchange for my thoughts about it, as part of the Book Nook Blogger program.

This was an interesting read. It's about a girl named named Tasha who has so much light and joy in her, that her village feels she is sucking the life from their crops and they send her into exile. She is taken into the care of Ceyon and journeys into the desert with him. Ceyon is a member of a race called the Shohonks. Their job is to protect others without any pride or lust or fear on their part. The novel was well written, but I kept feeling as though there was another whole layer of complexity to the book that I was missing. The author makes references to manifesting different realities involving Wisdom and Love as well as the Shadow Side of people and at times I found it a little hard to follow. I believe this would be a great book club selection, though, as I think each person would come away with something different in regards to what the book is teaching. This is book one of a series so I'm not sure if the rest of the series will continue the adventures of Tasha or if it will be another person, but it does stand alone easily. So even without reading any others, you may enjoy this one on its own.
